Norderny!!

The day started really early at 5 AM! It was a little rough but I slept on the bus. We had about a 4 hour bus ride to the Ferry across the North Sea. ( in case you don't know Norderny is an island off the North coast of Germany in the North Sea.) The trip was only for kids so the bus was full of German teens all speaking German and looking at Courtney and I weird because we were speaking English. We didn't go alone though. We went with two of the kids from my host family.

How cute do they look in their hats!! This was on the Ferry. We looked out the window when we were almost there and there were sea lions laying out on a sand bar! How cool!! Then after the Ferry we took a bus for 10 minutes to get into the city center. We rented bikes so we could get around the island faster. First we went to the beach.

The North Sea!!!!! So pretty!! But it was waaaayyyy too cold to swim so we were just laying on the beach feeling the breeze. I got a little bored.......so I was just writing random things in German in the sand.
:D I love this picture! ( I love you in German )
We spent most of the day here, and then we rode our bikes to the light house.
Then it was close to the end of the day and we went and had some pizza and went back to the bus. All and all it was a loooonnnnggg day but it was worth it! On the way back I was eating my Haribo. I LOVE HARIBO!! It is really the best candy in the whole world. If I could I would just ship a whole bunch of it back to America. Love it! We got back to Minden at midnight and I slept and slept and slept as soon as we got back home.

Back to Porta / Hello last host family!!

Caro and I slept in and it was AMAZING!! Then Caro took me back to Porta. I stayed with her for supper then they took me to my last host Family :(
Awww look at the Hucks looking cute! Love them! Their dogs were so sweet. The one in the middle Lilly is deaf, but she was so sweet!!! :D For supper we had the classic German meal......Saur Kraut!! I wasn't really expecting to like it, but I really did! It was great!

Then they took me to my next host Family. It was pretty sad..but I was excited about my new family as well. The Mussman Family is really nice and sweet. They have three kids around my age and lots of rabbits. When I got there it was about 8:30 ish and we were leaving very early the next morning to go to Norderny. So I just got comfy and went to bed

A day in Hamburg

From the house I was staying at we took the car to go to a train station. It is easier to take the train beause it is really hard to park somewhere in Hamburg, and you can get an all day pass and go anywhere in Hamburg.

Then Caro and I went on a boat ride around a harbor. It was pretty cool except the whole tour was in German. :/ But Caro translated the important things.

Along the river was a Theater and right now they are doing the Lion King but a Musical.

Obviously in German. :) There was also a cruise ship in the Harbor, and alot of big boats transporting crates of who knows what to different places in the world.
Then after the boat ride I had some fish and chips! ( fish and fries) Not to be confused with actual chips.

Hamburg's  city hall. Then we walked around some more and then Caro took me to a mall for a little bit. It was really weird all of their clothes have English words on them. None of them have any German, and they all say somthing about a popular city in America. LAME! If you are German you should have Shirts with Berlin or another popular city in Germany.

Another crazy thing. The German younger teenagers LOVE Holister. When I say love i mean really really really LOVE Holister. At the mall there was a line to get into Holister. I took a picture because it was so unbelievable.
There is Holister on the left and on the right is the never ending line of Teens. Silly Germans!
After the mall we went back to the house and had some food and then went to bed. It was a really Long day!!

Off to hamburg!!!!

Caro took me to Hamburg to stay with her mom's friend for a couple of days. After 2 almost 3 hours and countless German rock songs we made it there in one piece. Her mom's friends were really nice. Nick and Marie are bilingual just like Caro so it wasn't a problem. Nick is from England and his wife is from Germany. Nothing is more entertaining than listening to Nick speak German with a British accent. Love it!! Then since we got there later in the evening ey started up the grill and we had some steaks. YUM! Then after supper they took us to Lüneburg (loona borg)  It was soooo pretty!!! Lots and lots of cross timbered houses!! Also none of the buildings were builds straight up they were all leaning one digestion or another.....it was a little scary sometimes but amazing all at the same time!! I could just move there!! So beautiful!!!!

Then it was getting late so we went back and went to bed.
